Basil Beef Sliders
This miniature American classic is sure to please the entire crowd. Throw these together for the big game and watch them disappear. Just make sure you set a couple aside for yourself!
Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb. 80/20 Ground Beef
1 bag Slider Buns
6 American Cheese Slices
3 Small Vine Tomatoes
1 Egg, lightly beaten
6 Bread and Butter Pickle Chips
1 Shallot, thinly sliced
Vegetable/Canola Oil, for frying
1 1/2 tbsp. Fresh Basil, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Mexican Chili Powder
1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
Salt
Pepper
1 tbsp. Unsalted Butter
Directions:
Quick Fried Shallots
Add enough oil to a skillet to just cover the bottom. Heat oil on medium-high heat. When hot, drop sliced shallots in the oil for about 30 seconds. Remove immediately and set aside.
Burgers
In a bowl, mix the egg, basil, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Form 6 slider size patties from the meat mixture, about 1/2" thick. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on the first side. Flip the slider over, add a slice of cheese to each one and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until desired temperature.
Build burger with desired condiments, pickle, and top with fried shallots.
